I have not posted this week as I have been rather busy, knitting and such.
I have been knitting scarves, completed about fifty percent of a bag to be felted, and finished the majority of the Philosopher's Wool sweater sleeves.

I knocked this off last weekend. It is just a simple extra long cabled scarf out of Jo Sharp Silk Road. I loved working with this stuff so much I went and picked up some of the Silk Road Tweed and started a scarf for myself. This will be a little non Christmas present for a Dear Friend I hope you like this April! It is blue and cabled so it should fit the bill! Now I just need to get it in the mail.
I also worked on this felted bag for a bit. The pattern is called All Around Companion and it is a fun little felted bag. Mare did this bag a while back and I had to give it a whirl. I just loved hers. This one is in cascade 220 celery green and a very dark green. The nice boys at ThreadBear picked them out for me! I love felting, you never know what you will pull out of the washer!
Here are the sleeves for the PW fair isle, also purchased from ThreadBear.
I decided to leave the sleeves on this alone for a while as I need to knit up the body before I continue.
This sweater is for M, quite the strapping fellow, he has a 32 inch waist and his shoulders measure 50 inches. He has really long arms as well. I need to "end" the sleeves on a very specific section of the pattern chart so I want to see where the shoulder seems will fall on M before I go further with the sleeves. Does this all make sense?
Speaking of Mare , check out her site, I am excited about knitting this lopi sweater.
This is Astrid from the Best of Lopi. I have several ways I want to knit this sweater. More on that later.
All for now.......

WOW! The blues on your Tradition are so beautiful and so vibrant! Mine is the same pattern, but very different colours. Glorious!

I love it, I love it, I love it!!!! Have been unsuccessful with my cabling efforts. Will call you tonight and maybe you can talk me through it. I keep getting my stitches twisted when going from knit to purl....we had more snow last night. Will post on my blog later this evening, as I am off...wish you were here, Pumpkin beer awaits you!

Hi Max, I love the colors of your fair isle sweater. Can't wait to see it finished. Thanks for your kind words about "Shannon" on your visit to my blog. It's almost done now -- just need to make the button bands.

That Lopi is gonna be perfect - can't wait to watch it take shape. And I'm doing a ribby cardie right now out of Jo's Silk Road Aran Tweed, love it more than peanut butter. Yum.
